Elon Musk had a strange way of phrasing a job offer to a former Twitter exec. Beykpour said Musk asked if he wanted to "swipe right" and "hang out and work on the product." During one of their conversations, Musk asked if Beykpour would be interested in continuing to work on product at Twitter. Musk asked Beykpour to "swipe right on whether you want to be here," the Periscope cofounder said. He used the swipe right, swipe left Tinder metaphor and I thought that was kind of hilarious coming from him," Beykpour said.

Twitter is leaving at least a dozen international offices due to closures or not paying rent. Elon Musk is closing many of its international Twitter offices as he continues to cut costs and try to find ways the company can make money. Twitter previously had more than two dozen international offices spanning nearly all regions of the world. The Singapore office, which first opened in 2015, even expanded last year, with more office space and engineers brought on to grow in the region. As for other international offices, most were smaller outposts for business operations, including engineering and ad sales.
The possible Vine revival shows the breadth of product ideas — including old ones — that Musk is toying with in his first week heading up Twitter. A person who works for Twitter said exploratory discussions are happening within the social network about a possible Vine revival, which was first reported by Axios. Musk also solicited ideas about how to make a revived Vine better than TikTok. But some said it wouldn't necessarily be easy to bring Vine back after Twitter shut it down in 2016. When Vine didn't take off, Twitter shut it down in 2016, prompting Pornhub to make a joke bid and one of Vine's founders to express regret he ever sold it.
Ex-technical lead at Vine warns that the app's whole code will need to be rewritten if Elon Musk wants to revive it. Some of the code for Vine is a decade old, Sara Beykpour — who led the app's shuttering — said. Rus Yusupov, one of Vine's founders, joked that Musk should relaunch the app with "69 second videos." Beykpour explained to her 66,000 followers how Vine's outdated code could delay plans to rejuvenate the app. "If you want to revive Vine, you should start over," she added.
Last week Musk's attorneys demanded that documents from 22 Twitter employees be handed over. Judge Kathleen St. Jude McCormick on Monday ordered Twitter to comply in part with a motion to compel from Musk's attorneys. They requested documents from 22 additional Twitter employees they said had information on the company's process of analyzing spam or "bot" accounts. Musk's motion to compel for the additional documentation was filed last week confidentially, which means it doesn't appear on the court's docket. While Musk's attorneys pushed for document production from many additional Twitter employees, McCormick relented only on Beykpour.
